On The Homeschooling Track

I homeschooled for so many years- and still homeschool. It isn't a surprise that I decided to write the beginning of what will be a series of unit studies. Since I already had lenses on two related interests gardening and butterflies, those seemed natural choices for the initial unit study lenses:

• Butterfly Unit Study
• Garden Unit Study

This will probably shape up to be a considerable number in a series of lenses, eventually; although they do take a long time to collate and produce. At first, I thought since I had done unit studies that it would be simple to put together, but I wanted to create new and fresh studies that I thought would appeal to a broad range of students instead of based upon what I had created when centering on a particular subject that was part of our own curriculum. I hope homeschoolers find them useful and time saving.

Both are easy ways to spice up the homeschooling year with interesting and interlinked investigations into nature.
