The Big Mistake
In the Squidoo text module you get 10,000 characters. That seems like more than enough, and usually it is, but in my LOTD lens, which I was eager to improve, I had filled it with information about Ohio gardens. I didn't keep sight of the fact that I was at or near the 10,000 mark on that module.Already having started a second module for more garden entries, I had the great idea that I should include official site links for each park, in case people needed more information on a park they wanted to visit. That was a good idea, but what wasn't so good (the 2nd mistake) is that as I added more at the top of the module.. you guessed it.... the bottom of the module was losing information. I had lost one whole entry on the Cleveland Cultural garden!
How Did I Fix This?
Well, I had lost important pages before... sometimes my fault and sometimes because of glitches on the free servers (Oh yes, I remember "crosswinds.net" with this happening more than once). The way I found you could recover lost work, if you got to it in time, was in Google's cache. And that is how I recovered the lost information from my lens, since I had probably lost it in the 24 hours previously to discovering my mistake.
Thank you, Google. I copy and pasted my lost information into the newer module (which to the viewer is seamless addition to the first one). Most lenses do not have a long string of entries, but this one happens to be a whole state worth of good gardens to visit.
