Listing Squid Angels
Small Update
I am at a crossroads. I loved the idea of listing all the Squid Angels who have blessed my lenses, but the cold reality of keeping up with lots of lenses, trying to visit as many lenses as possible, keeping up with quests... well, you know what I'm going to say, "It is becoming too time and effort intensive to list everyone". In order to be fair, I may have to take those areas of my lenses down. Right now I am undecided, I still reciprocate all the the visit I can and try to find one or more of the lenses to bless.

Isn't This Cute?
I love these kind of drawings, and it inspires me to pick the next top ten Zazzle choices around a Fantasy theme.
Top Ten Favorite Zazzle
I might write more on Fairy Houses, to add to the rest of my fairy pages. Not sure when I will find the time for it, at this point, though. Did an update on the Fairy Garden Extras page. Products change so quickly. This was the most recent of my fairy garden pages, and I found several things that had to be deleted and substitutions found. All is well, since I saw more of the absolutely cute things that are offered for fairy garden aficionados. The fairy houses are especially desirable and getting more economical.
Winter Decor from Scandinavia
This is a lens I worked really hard on, and I love all sorts of Scandinavian products. IKEA is one of my most favorite places for home decor.
I also saw a lens drop into the nether region of red lenses.
Enlightened Gifts for Yoga Lovers is not gaining favor on the Squidoo board. Which is kinda too bad, because it has a terrific selection of gifts. I know I would love several of them right now :)

On Another Note
I have a new lens that I made for a quest:Winter Decor from Scandinavia

Centenarian Lenses
Centenarian Lenses?
I now have made 100 lenses that are fully finished, published, and featured on Squidoo. That represents a lot of work and time, but I am getting a small, but steady income from a few of them.
Still, not even close to even my regular blogs, which I have not attended to (only so much time). I've thought about how that is a losing proposition, but then, always have valued learning above income. There is a big reason right there why I am a hobbyest rather than a pro.
100th Squidoo Lens
Like regular blogging, it is hard work to provide steady flow of writing, mastering the type of community participation that a media requires, and knowing what to write... researching for the writing if you are short on knowledge. Although learning about how to write, and researching topics is probably the big draw for me in "Why I Squidoo".
I think mastering how to present products to sell is hardest for me. I don't like a hard sell, and often feel weird about including products, etc. I like to review, although hardly ever do, and don't do it on demand- ever. Yet.... I personally love the areas of magazines which tell me where I can buy the products they feature. That is why I keep trying to master the method, I guess.
It is now time for me to write all my Advent devotionals for my Advent blog. I was determined to get them written early, but so much family and other obligations kept me from fulfilling that. That, and the fact that I really have to carve out time to consider, design, and write these. They aren't done quickly or lightly, and I have to focus in order to make them. Also, this year it was slower than usual to come up with the theme I wanted to work on, and it still isn't as clarified as I'd like. But need to publish starting this Sunday! Must get cracking today:)

July Slowdown
I've had obligations and other matters that have taken more of my time, so efforts at writing and learning about online projects has had a slowdown. On Squidoo I have 47 finished lenses, just short of the fifty mark. Those three will have to wait about two weeks ,but I have been updating and refining some of the published lenses.
Some of them were simply tweaked, but I added to:
- Famous Hungarians
- Maui Vacation
- Grandma Moses' Success Secrets
- Winning an Art Contest
- Hungarian Fairies
...and a few others, but those were the main ones. With some I added information and pictures, others had some editing to give the writing more polish.
I began a sitemap page of my lenses here, but it isn't finished, yet. My other blogs needed some attention, so I wrote a few posts on Ilona's Garden Journal and some garden pages for Ilona's Garden.
I came back from a family funeral and now friends are coming to visit next week... so that, plus my kids need to go swimming and other stuff like trying to garden a little, so the summer is busy right now.
Also I earned a little money from my garden site earlier this summer, so I bought my husband a tiny Acer laptop for his birthday. He was happy with it :)

Almost Forgot
My friend Joanne joined Squidoo today- welcome Joanne! If she likes it and writes lenses I know they'll be great ( but I miss her contributions to my garden blog.)
