Squidoo might be the place to look for recipes, all kinds of recipes.
I know that the Blueberry Blintzes on are on my list of what to cook up for my holiday guests.
Soon we will be baking Christmas Cookies, and I have a lens of recipes for my all time favorites.
Best Ever Cookie Recipes
There are some of the best Chocolate Dessert Recipes, the ones I've made over the years. They are the recipes that always turn out so well and that everyone just loves.
But main meals are not to be neglected!
Thanksgiving is coming up soon, and my favorite traditional Thanksgiving Holiday menu and recipes is all ready for printing out if necessary.
My Christmas menu, with all the recipes included, is going to be my Christmas Dinner for this year, as well. Why tinker with success?
Chicken Paprikas is the dinner that I will serve on those busy days when everyone is visiting and we are all hungry!
I think I'm ready to start cooking right now.

Upbeat, Downbeat, and Deadbeat

I couldn't resist and bought a couple bacon wrapped scallops for me- which I seared and ate for lunch. I am the only one in my family who will eat them, so it is nice to get a small amount on occasion. Today was that occasion! That was the upbeat part, because it is always fun to shop at Wholefoods, and I brought home yummy cupcakes for the kids (per their request, Ha!)
Then I started work on the computer. Someone hacked my WP account again. After I had spent hours cleaning it up, reinstalling my wp and themes, getting rid of things that shouldn't be there. Their favorite seems to be to inject code into the config files, and then from there do other stuff. I had changed the admin name, but I probably need to change all my names and passwords, now.
That, and the fact that some of the lenses I had tried to improve slipped further down, was a little downbeat, too.
The deadbeats? Namely, Christmas Sweaters, in which I had updated, and tweaked the content. Thankfulness is dangerously low. I'll need to see if Amazon stuff is missing, etc.
Others dropping? Deck the Halls, probably since Christmas season is over. My fireside chat is down near the low numbers (which are the bigger ones, like Alexa ratings) , -so that should be updated and maybe reworked a bit. It probably has too many topics.
Belly Dance Fitness has dropped.
Red Rose Petals was a brand new lens, so it is struggling, but I think it is a good lens, so it might turn around.
My wild and crazy musical carpet ride is not expected to do much... not sure what to do with it.
And I don't think people 'get' the mushroom factor. I guess your have to be a diy.
Oh well, I have some lenses that are doing extremely well, rank wise, so that makes me upbeat overall. Scandinavian decor has steadily been moving up and people seem to really like it. that is heartening since it is a brand new lens. It is pretty.
The Quaint Cottage Garden is moving up and some very nice Squid angels blessed it. I try to always list them on the page they blessed, so I will need to add some in later tonight.
That is the Squidoo news for today, folks. And almost forgot to say that there have been quests coming out the kazoo. I can hardly keep up!

Halloween Lenses
Since Halloween rivals Christmas as the holiday which Americans love to decorate for, it is a big deal for decorating ideas, with the addition of all those costumes to think about.
It wasn't surprising that quests would center on Halloween themes.
I made the Arabian Nights theme and finished that quest.

The newest lenses?

Moroccan Argan Oil Production
Some trivia:
My Bellydance Goes to the Movies dropped into the red.
Lensographies always seem to struggle, too. Most of mine are in danger of the red.

Writing,Writing,Writing
I've been obsessively busy on Squidoo. Besides the Giant Quest I finished the Monstrosity Quest and started the Squidhaunting Quest. Not sure if I am up to the recipe one....
I also finished and published some lens ideas I had recently. One time sensitive one was "Sweetest Day". The Sweetest Day holiday is little known, except for regionally... and pretty obscure even here. If you want to know more about the Sweet Day Holiday, be sure to take a look at the lens.
Sweetest Day
Have you been following my Giant Quest collection of bellydance related lenses? Lenses that I hope are tightly enough related.
Belly Dance is associated with the Near East and Northern Africa, so I branched off in that direction.
The Newest Lens in the Collection:
Moroccan Tea Glasses
Moroccan tea glasses are pretty little glasses that Moroccans use to serve their special mint tea. I included the recipe for mint tea and a video on the precise way to prepare and serve it- it is an art in Morocco.
The other newer lenses revolve around Morocco style decoration.
Moroccan Style Bathroom and Moroccan Style Bedroom
Neither lens is very well known, yet, but I tried to fill them with the design elements of romantic Marrakech.
I worked on updating and created a new beauty lens, too.... I'll have a post dedicated to that project ( yes, it developed into a budding collection). And will need to tell you about those Halloween lenses. Well, I guess my next post is plotted out for me! If you want to check out stuff before I get around to recording things here, My Squidoo Lensmaster Page is the place to visit.
